Dental veneers
Thin ceramic shells, bonded to the front surface of the teeth, to correct colour, shape or alignment without altering the tooth.
Ceramic veneers are made from one of the most natural-looking materials available. They are extremely thin and help preserve the original structure of your teeth.
These are thin shells bonded to the front surface of the teeth to improve their appearance. Veneers are indicated for correcting stained, chipped, misaligned or gapped teeth.
The placement process
The process for fitting dental veneers generally involves an initial consultation to assess suitability for the treatment, preparation of the teeth by removing a thin layer of enamel, taking impressions for the custom manufacturing of the veneers, and finally permanent bonding using a suitable adhesive.
After placement
Patients may experience temporary sensitivity after veneers are fitted, due to the removal of a thin layer of enamel. This sensitivity tends to fade over time, giving way to an improved smile and the long-lasting results of this cosmetic treatment.
A second example
Every case is different: here is a second example of veneers being placed, to illustrate the range of results achievable depending on the starting situation.
